26-Year-Old midfielder Bantu Mzwakali has been featuring for IK Brage in the Swedish Superettan League, having moved in January of this year from Cape Umoya United. In his first season with the club, he’s racked up 15 appearances and registered three assists. Mzwakali has played for Ajax Cape Town & Bidvest Wits in the past, gaining experience in both the Absa Premiership & GladAfrica Championship.
Speaking on the SL Podcasts’s Players Abroad, Mzwakali compares the Swedish second tier to the South African top flight, but states that the physicality of Swedish football is ‘like wrestling’. In the full podcast, he reveals how the move abroad came about earlier this year, and what he has missed most about South Africa.
