How did Bayern fare against a strong Freiburg outfit? Find out by listening to the podcast player below!

Bayern Munich’s hot run of form seems to be a recurring trend after they beat Benfica in the UEFA Champions League 5-2, with star striker Robert Lewandowski netting a hattrick and almost a fourth. The reigning Bundesliga champions came up against Freiburg SC in a League match this past weekend with no one knowing what the outcome would be, as Freiburg were the only unbeaten team in the league before this Bayern match-up. However, Robert Lewandowski’s formidable form continued as he netted a goal in the 75th minute to give Bayern maximum points. Freiburg managed a consolation goal in the 93rd minute and Leon Goretzka scored his goal in the 30th. Bayern emerged victorious, as Freiburg suffered their first defeat of the League, 2-1.

On the latest episode of The Bundesliga Connection, DW Sports correspondent and German football expert Kres Harrington breaks down the matchup between Bayern Munich and Freiburg SC. Kres goes on to explain that right now, Lewandowski is the best striker in the world. Later in the show, Kres talks about Borrusio Dortmund and how their season could be a little shaky for the time being without Norwegian striker Erling Haaland and where Critopher Nkunku could end up after Leipzig.
