With the 2021/2022 PSL season around the corner, transfer business has been rife amongst clubs to formulate the best team possible with hopes of being crowned champions of South Africa. Kaizer Chiefs seem to be the talking point of this transfer window, with the Glamour Boys welcoming Keagan Dolly, Cole Alexander, and Austin Dube to name a few. However, One transfer that seems to have people scratching their heads, is Willard Katsande joining Sekhukhune United, after being with Kaizer Chiefs for the last decade. Speaking on the SL Podcast’ “The Carwash,” former Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates star Teko Modise explains that “ these things happen in football all of the time.”

In other news, it has been announced that RocNation has partnered with Mamelodi Sundowns. Rocnation, owned by famous American rapper, Shawn Carter (better known as Jay-Z) is an entertainment company, focusing on elevating athletes’ careers on a global scale, both on and off the field. Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Ajax Cape Town goalie Sean Roberts says “Sundowns are hoping to bring the brand to more of a global level”
