This season has already seen various Premier Soccer League (PSL) teams display cracks on the surface when it comes to their financial situation, with the impact COVID-19 and empty stadiums having a severe effect on clubs’ abilities to pay their players. DStv Premiership side TTM FC and GladAfrica Championship team Real Kings have made headlines for their failures to pay players. While many of the fires are being put out now, the situation occurs often enough to warrant an investigation before it potentially happens again.

In place of The Big Interview this week, the SL Podcast takes a look at how TTM & Real Kings ended up in this situation, to begin with, and why TTM in particular, presents a curious case considering their dealings over the past year.
