Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki has announced his 26-man squad for the national team’s crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Ghana & Sudan. The selection of debutants such as Veli Mothwa, Thibang ‘Cafu’ Phete, Craig Martin, Ben Motshwari, and Ruzaigh Gamildien has raised eyebrows, as has his choice to call up out-of-favour Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune.

In the latest episode of The Carwash with former Bafana Bafana star Teko Modise & former Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Sean Roberts, the crew debates whether players should be selected based on how much they’ve played for their respective clubs or whether the team should stick with it’s guns for the sake of consistency. Modise & Roberts also discuss Kaizer Chiefs & Mamelodi Sundowns’ form in the CAF Champions League group stages, level 1 lockdown regulations keeping fans out of stadiums, and more.
